Rope Rescue Operations: Michigan - Kalamazoo Public Safety Training Center - October 12-16, 2026

This class is designed and intended to develop critical rope rescue skills through realistic, scenario-based training. Students learn to assess, plan, and execute team-based rescue operations with an emphasis on hands-on field application.

• Mechanical Advantage (Simple, Compound, Complex) (3:1, 5:1, 9:1, 4:1)
• Littler Tending (high and low point) with an Adjustable Harness (Scoop Litter)
• Knot Passing
• Team Based and Rescuer Based Pick-Offs 

• Highlines (Flying W, English & Norwegian Reeve)
• Vertical Litter Technique
• Artificial High Directional (AHD) – Arizona Vortex (Easel Leg A Frame configuration)
• Tripod Operations and Configurations
